Lashes & makeup for deep set eyes

By now, you’re probably aware of the shape of your eyes, and some of the false eyelash styles and other makeup looks that best flatter your eye shape. But, did you know the depth of your eyes could actually make a difference in your look? If your eyes appear to be sit deeper in your eye socket, you likely have deep-set eyes.

Determining Deep Set Eyes

Here’s a quick way to tell if you have deep-set eyes: Stick your pointer finger up, then place it against your eye, with the top part of your finger resting against your brow bone, and the lower part resting against your cheekbone. Close your eyes. Does your eye touch your finger? If not, your eyes are definitely deep-set. But not to worry! Finding the right false eyelash style for you is easy!

When you have deep-set eyes, finding the right false eyelashes can make you feel like you’re in over your head! There are many beautiful aspects about deep-set eyes, and a number of excellent ways to flatter them. If you have a deep-set eye shape, then you likely have a wonderful bone structure too. As well, deep-set eyes tend to be larger, which makes certain looks easier to pull off than women with smaller eyes. A beautiful look will flatter your natural eye depth!

The right pair of false eyelashes can help bring your eyes forward and give them the appearance of being shallower. False eyelashes that are very long and very wispy are great choices. In fact, any false eyelashes that are very long and very voluminous will give this illusion.

You should also look for false eyelashes that are very long in the middle. This will help draw the eye forward as well. Another great tip? Apply individual false eyelashes to the center part of your lash line! Use a tweezer to apply individual false eyelashes for extra precision.

For a makeup look that will totally flatter your deep-set eyes (and match your fab false eyelashes!) first, apply a light shade all over your lid, and on your browbone too. Since you probably have a pretty prominent browbone, don’t use any shimmer shades. Then, use a middle-toned shade in the crease, nothing too dark! A subtle shade will help accentuate your eyes while de-emphasizing their depth. You can also apply a darker shade in the outer corner of your eye using a big, fluffy eye shadow brush to blend. You can try any style of eyeliner you desire—liquid or pencil, sleek or smokey!
